update
After 24 hours in the beautiful Cabell Huntington spa hospital DD is going home. The doctors say that although the strep is getting better the terrible swelling in her throat will be there for awhile. She is infected with mono and there isn't anything they can do for that here. She is going home on bedrest and orders to drink as much as possible until her throat gets well enough to get some food in....pictures later if she is willing.

Katy, I'm sorry to hear DD is feelings so bad, but glad to hear she is out of the hospital. I hope she feels lots better soon. Take care. Kellan
So glad to hear that she is home - I'll keep her in my thoughts...

Hope she continues getting better quickly!
Awww, feel better quickly DD--so you can get back to all the fun of being SEVENTEEN (17; that's 1-7 which is not 1-6). Sorry!
I'm just so glad you're all home where y'all belong!
We did the strep/mono thing when Theresa was a freshman in high school. Not fun. On the other hand, hey, they're young strong kids. They bounce when they hit the ground.
I'm glad to hear that your daughter is home from the hospital. My son had mono when he was 3 years old. Not sure where he got it from at that age, but he was sick for a while! I hope she feels better soon!
