Mother nature scores!

Yummy pumpkin log recipe on yesterday's post!
We have been warned for months, fall colors will not be pretty this year. We are 12" behind in rain this year all ready. Today it rained for 15 minutes, which is the most rain we have had all summer. Leaves do not look pretty when there isn't any rain, they just turn brown and fall off of the trees. The creeks are dry and the hay crop was bad this year. Knowing all of this I still believe mother nature tried to give us a little show this year. The trees in my yard are mostly changing to duller colors than in previous years but there are a few giving it a good try....

Now if I could just find someone who enjoys raking, there are going to be a LOT of leaves.

No color around these parts yet. Not a drop.

Where are you - I need to see me some changing trees! I am GOOD at raking - I have 97 oaks in my yard - but I HATE raking. Good luck with that. See ya!

Hi Katy--Oh, I so do that, too! And I should definitely know better, what with all of the early deaths and all! It's kind of funny that you left that comment, just as I was hitting the "publish" button on the new "Bad, Bad Kim" post. Seriously, go back and read it! Do you want to e-mail or IM or something, or are you busy? Let me know.

Oh for pete's sake, I KNOW--about the crying! Ya just never know what's gonna do it! Now we can be "sob sisters" together, too :)! We're also gonna have to have wings pretty soon together but separate at BWW. I forgot to tell you how very much I enjoyed IM'ing with DD while you were makin' out with SH...HAHAHA! What an absolute sweetie! She truly is what I call "the total package"--looks, brains, AND personality. She obviously has great parents :)!

I'm so sorry to hear you were at hell house today. That has to be mentally exhausting, as well as physical...EEEK, you have to be prepared at all times for "live ones"--GETS TO YA!
