Starting next week Superhubby will probably have to work away for a while. He will probably leave here on Monday morning, come home Friday night. He should only have to do this every other week, and the weeks in between he will be able to work in his normal place. My problem is I am such a big baby when he isn't around....it's almost embarrassing. I have to work hard not to boo hoo and act like a big baby when he leaves. If he knows I'm upset it will make him feel worse about going. He doesn't want to go anyway, but we both know that right now we are just lucky he has a job, so many people don't right now. We are still waiting on the final word from his boss about this....so there is still hope. If he does have to go we think it will only be for a few months, the supervisor at another shop had to have hip replacement surgery, or knee replacement, or one of those painful if you walk surgeries.
The weather report for next weeks shows storms for days, I'm sure that is mother nature mocking me for not having superhubby home. We live way in the country, on a hill. The electric goes out in storms....Ok, time to quit whining and grow up.
Just to make me feel better I am going to leave you with a picture of DD and her boyfriend at Christmas. I had planned on putting her dress pictures up today so you could help us choose but I can't find them in my computer, or on my camera. This is at my aunts house on Christmas eve. Notice the stair railings?.....SH built it. He does such great things.
Now since I have spent this entire blog whining like a baby you should go watch this. It really makes you think about how blessed you really are.

Awww, Katy, I don't believe it! Yes, you are right; y'all are lucky to have jobs, but it's also okay to feel bad about not seeing SH all week! I agree totally that you shouldn't say too much to him about it, because we both know this would never be his choice, either. That's what we're here for, though! You do not have to feel like you are being a whiner or a baby; you're not! You guys love each other, have a strong marriage and are used to being together, and now he will have to be away for a week at a time and you will miss him. I don't blame you one bit! It is NOT fun to sit at home alone at night and people get married to be together. BUT, it is what it is...and you guys will get through it and everything will be fine. But ya sure don't have to like it now!!! :)
I love the pic of the two K kids. Is it just me, or does your Young Woman K kid look extremely grown-up these days? She just gets more and more beautiful all the time; it makes me smile to see her so happy and in love with her handsome fella! Swoon...
I am going to choose to look on the bright side now...you will have plenty of time to blog and to comment on blogs...
Maybe I'm the oddball, but I like it when hubby goes away.....no snoring, no cooking, no schedule to worry about. And then after a few days, I am ready to start cooking and sleeping on the couch again : )
As they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Hang in there, and yes, blog alot : )
Frank has rarely needed to go off on a business trip but I hate when he does. On the other hand, it's perfectly fine for me to go away & leave him home alone. :-)
